Trash or yard waste

Republic Services
Customer Service Number — (479) 855-4226

The city has contracted with Republic Services for once a week residential trash pickup. If you do not know what day your area is scheduled for pickup call City Hall 479-876-1255. Trash is to be placed at the street by 6:00 AM on the day of pickup. The city’s contract with Republic Services is for household trash only. Drivers will not pick up yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, branches) or tear down material (lumber, plumbing fixtures, tile, etc.).

You may leave one large item out for pick up each week, along with your normal household trash; examples include: mattresses, furniture such as bookcases, dressers and chairs, small sofas, etc. They are not able to take any item that is too heavy for one person to load into their truck. If you have questions as to whether an item will be too heavy or large call Republic Services and they will advise you. Cut and tie carpet into four-foot lengths. You may also dispose of barbeque grills excluding propane tanks.

If you missed trash pickup you may take your trash to the Republic Services’ transfer station at 36 Bella Vista Way (turn west at the Bear Hollow/Hwy 71 traffic signal). Proof that you are resident of Bella Vista is required, e.g. driver’s license, or POA card blank check, etc. They are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
