Caring tradition
Bella Vista Paramedics and EMTs
answer your calls when you need
medical help, whether you have a big
problem or a small problem. The
caring tradition began in 1976 and,
more than 30 years later, the most
important part of the job still is
taking care of you. When you need
us, we’ll be there.

When to call an ambulance?

Firefighters remove the top
of a car to rescue a woman.
When should you call
the ambulance? If someone’s life is
in danger, call 911. If you’re in
doubt, call 911.
Bella Vista Police Dispatchers who
answer your 911 calls are trained to
identify emergencies and to get you
the help you need.
Call 911 and get immediate help for
the following:
-
The victim's condition
threatens his or her arms, legs or
life.
-
During the ride to the
hospital, the victim’s condition
might worsen and threaten his or her
arms, legs or life.
-
Moving the victim might
cause further injury?
-
Distance or traffic
conditions might delay you while you
try to get the victim to the
hospital?

Emergency Medical
Information
When you have a medical emergency or
have to visit a doctor, your medical
caregivers need to know:
-
What medical conditions you
have.
-
What medical equipment you
have and need
-
What — prescriptions or
over-the-counter — medicines you are
taking.
-
Who are your healthcare
providers and what is their contact
information.
Write
your list of medications. Put it in
a holder with a magnet and attach it
to your refrigerator.
Your list will be easy to find by
the emergency responder.
You can get the free holder from the
Fire Station in Town Center.
