Contact Information

  The City of Bella Vista is a classified as a City of the First Class in the State of Arkansas.  The City operates under a Mayor-Council form of government.

Mayor's Office
 
The Mayor is elected to a four year term.  By City ordinance, the position is defined as a full-time position.  This office is charged with the administrative duties for the City.  The Mayor is responsible for seeing that the laws are enforced, preparing and administering the annual budget, recommending appointments to the various boards and commissions, lobbying on behalf of the City in matters pertaining to State or Federal legislation and general over-sight of the day-to-day operations of the City.  The Mayor shall perform all other duties specifically prescribed to the office of Mayor in Arkansas Statutes.


City Clerk’s Office
 
When the City first incorporated on December 7, 2006, the City Clerk/Treasurer was a combined position.  Subsequently, the City Council voted to separate the two positions making the City Clerk a part-time position and the Treasurer a full-time position.  The City Clerk is elected to a four year term and is considered a part-time position.
 
The City Clerk is responsible for taking and preparing minutes of the City Council meetings, executing all official documents of the City including, but not limited to, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds, easements, bonds, etc. and all other duties as prescribed in Arkansas Statutes.


Dog Licenses

The City of Bella Vista requires all dogs over the age of three (3) months to be licensed.  All dogs must be vaccinated for rabies and proof of the vaccination must be made in order to obtain a license. The following links give complete information for owning dogs in the City of Bella Vista.

Door to Door Solicitation

The City of Bella Vista requires anyone going door to door selling merchandise to obtain a “Door to Door Solicitation” License.  Detailed information is available at City Hall. The following links give complete information for Door to Door Solicitation in the City of Bella Vista.
